This capacity-building training is for anyone who supports, makes decisions about, or encounters unaccompanied children through their job or volunteer role. The course is particularly well suited to those who play a significant role in supporting unaccompanied children.

Participants receive practice guidance for supporting unaccompanied children, as well as an overview of the relevant asylum and social care processes, and the age assessment procedures that children are likely to experience.

The training is suitable for all experience levels. For experienced practitioners the training deepens knowledge and creates time to reconnect with children’s realities. In particular, organisations or teams looking to level-up their capacity for supporting unaccompanied children will benefit greatly.
