SERVICE
Training for practitioners and frontline workers

Participants of the training met Ali, Joey and Afran in their birth countries and followed them as they become unaccompanied children and traveled alone to Europe. In small groups, the trainees built an understanding of what their life was like before they left, the factors that led them to leave, and what they experienced on their journeys.

They then consolidated this learning into an understanding of the impact these experiences have on unaccompanied children now in the UK, and how this might affect their needs and behaviours. Participants left the training with a better awareness and understanding of what they can do, and must avoid doing, if wanting to support them as best they can.
